When our founder, Nancy Thompson, first decided to stand up to Greg Abbott, she honestly wasn’t sure if she would be standing alone. It started as a single-person protest, just Nancy with a sign.

Nancy created Mothers Against Greg Abbott so mothers and others like you and I would always have a home, and someone to stand with. This is about us, standing together to fight for Texas families. And together, we are succeeding.

Over the last several months, we’ve taken on the worst extremists in the state. Our ad campaigns have gone national—because they speak to the issues that every one of us cares about this election. And our volunteers have done the impossible; we’ve made Texas a state where Democrats can win.

Now, we’re days away from victory, if we can turn out the vote. This is what all of our hard work has been for—making sure the voters of Texas know what’s at stake this election, that they realize how much their votes will matter, and that they show up and vote out any candidate who refuses to fight for our families.

But support for the Rio Grande Valley in Texas is crucial. And you all spoke out.

Since launching the 5 county project, we’ve received letter after letter asking if we could please, just include the Valley. When so many of you speak, we listen. That’s why we’ve gone ahead and added in two more counties—Hidalgo County and Cameron County—ahead of tonight’s deadline at midnight.

Mothers Against Greg Abbott can’t flip Texas all by ourselves. This week, you’ve shown us what we’ve always known—that we’re in this together. And when you ask us not to leave the Valley behind, the mothers listen.
