Some family members help you cook dinner.

Some take care of you when you're sick.

And some leave fur everywhere but are always happy to see you.

All of them help make this life as fulfilling as it can be.

I'm proud to be a member of the House Veterinary Medicine Caucus. I'm proud to have fought against the use of predator toxin that kills our beautiful wildlife. Over the years, my wife, Myrnie, and I have adopted many furry family members from our local Humane Society, Greenhill.

They've loved us unconditionally over the years and I'm grateful for their companionship.

Last week, the Humane Society Legislative Fund put out it's midterm report for the 116th Congress and I'm honored to receive a 100+ score for my work on animal protection.

In Congress, I've always stood for animal welfare: co-sponsoring legislation that bans trophy imports and sales of shark fins. Leading multiple bills and regulatory efforts to conserve and protect our wildlife. And protecting the habitats of endangered species.

In the holiday spirit, I want to do something more. Which is why I'm asking you to help me help these furry faces. Make a donation to the Greenhill Humane Society today and help our furry (or feathered, or scaly) friends have a healthier holiday.

As we spend the holidays being safe and warm, let's not forget our animal family. Hug a feline buddy. Scratch a dog's ear. Remember to bring your pets inside during the cold. Make sure you recycle so plastic doesn't harm our friends in the ocean. And donate to the Greenhill Humane Society and help our animal friends have better lives.

Wishing you warmth this holiday season,

Peter
