Kitsap County

PORT ORCHARD ??Kitsap voters receiving ballots beginning this week will find an "I Voted" sticker as part of the ballot packet. The sticker is one of a few changes in ballot packets for General Election 2022.

The Kitsap election itself includes two advisory votes, two federal races, one statewide race, eight legislative races, eight countywide races and eight judicial races and three local measures. Voters can read statements and arguments for each in voters' pamphlets sent by the county and the Washington Secretary of State's Office. Pamphlets were mailed to every residential address and P.O. Box.

Voters can also find the pamphlets online at?*kitsap.gov/elections* [ [link removed] ]?and at?*VoteWA.gov* [ [link removed] ]. Information about voter registration and address changes are at the same sites, and most can be performed online through October 31.

Voter registration and address changes can be performed in person at the Auditor's Office at 619 Division Street in Port Orchard through Election Day, November 8, 2022. They can also be made the Saturday and Monday before Election Day and on Election Day at three vote centers, one in the Commissioners' Chambers of the County Administration Building at 619 Division Street in Port Orchard. The other vote centers are at the Marvin Williams Recreation Center at 725 Park Avenue in Bremerton and the Poulsbo Fire Station at 911 NE Liberty Road in Poulsbo.

Besides the "I Voted" sticker in the ballot packet, voters will notice a few other changes. The ballot insert with instructions and other information is the same size as the ballot and the two are folded together. The ballot secrecy sleeve opens at the top and one side.

Ballot packets will be delivered to the Post Office on Wednesday, October 19 and all will be mailed by Friday, October 21.

Kitsap County has 25 ballot drop boxes. Mailed ballots must be postmarked no later than Election Day, November 8. More information is available at?*kitsap.gov/elections* [ [link removed] ].
