Did you see Gerry on MSNBC last night? He sat down with Chris Hayes to talk about the shocking revelation that President Trump charged the Secret Service ridiculously high rates to stay at his properties while he travelled. He'd charge the government up to $1,200 a night, almost 6 times the standard federal rate for hotels.

For as much as we hear Republicans talking about government waste, they sure do seem to be quiet about Trump wasting taxpayer money to enrich himself.

It's clear the Republican Party has no interest in rooting out this corruption and government waste. It was only the relentless work from Gerry and his Democratic colleagues on the Oversight Committee that brought this information to the public. This is one reason our midterm election is so critical. We've just begun to scratch the service of the venial crimes of Donald Trump, and if Republicans gain the majority, they'll stop all of our investigations and finish the coverup for Donald Trump.
