Hi John – As we near the end of a long and momentous year, I wanted to send you a note about one of my colleagues, Jahana Hayes.

If this year in Congress has taught me anything, it is that we need dedicated public servants on the front line of our democracy – public servants who put their constituents and the country first. In other words, we need leaders like Jahana.

Jahana won a close House race in 2018, and winning next year in Connecticut’s 5th District is a MUST if we’re going to keep the Democratic House majority in 2020.

And make no mistake, Republicans are going to throw everything they have to try to win this seat. In fact, Jahana already has FOUR Republican challengers declared for 2020.

Jahana’s background as an educator and advocate for children has made her a leader in Congress, and she has put the issues of education, equity, and community safety at the forefront of her work.
