We are just 21 days out from the midterm elections. While
federal races take up much of the attention, state and
local races are the ones that have the most significant impact on our
daily lives. Congress doesn’t
plan public transportation expansion, decide which potholes to fill,
or draft the zoning ordinances for new housing - your local leaders
and legislative representatives do.
This is why we are proud to
be endorsing down-ballot candidates who are looking to move their
states, their counties, and their cities Forward. Check out our first group of state and local
endorsements: Thomas Chittenden - VT State Legislature; Joe
Krakoviak - Mayor of West Orange, NJ; Sarah Lashanlo - City Council of
San Ramon, CA; and Carla Litrenta - SC State
Legislature.
The Forward Party is building
a true grassroots political movement, and we build it by electing
local leaders who share our common priorities of free people, thriving
communities, and a vibrant democracy. These candidates will build and grow the
bench of future Forward Party candidates to run for office up and down
the ballot across the country.
In the coming days, we will announce more of our state and local
endorsed candidates. But for today, please check
out these great candidates, consider giving them support, and on November 8th, we can begin the work
of moving our communities
