We both had distinguished careers in the U.S. Military.

Both of us have been NASA Astronauts.

And we have loyally served the citizens of our nation as elected officials.

Now, some people might point out that Mark did all that in real life, while I accomplished those things in movies and TV... which okay, fine, I suppose is true, if you want to get all nit-picky about it.
