Democrat,
It’s been a week and a half since the 2022 NJDSC Convention Road Trip and we are all still feeling the enthusiasm and motivation we experienced from meeting with our Democratic community across New Jersey - and hope you are too!
We want to thank our incredible sponsors ActBlue [[link removed]] , Market Street Strategies [[link removed]] , Ngpvan [[link removed]] , Round World Consulting [[link removed]] , and The BGill Group [[link removed]] for making our Road Trip weekend possible.
This year’s theme was Road Trip: Where We’ve Been and Where We’re Going. Traveling the state allowed us to connect with Democratic voters in multiple communities while celebrating New Jersey’s unique history and charting a course to a more progressive future. Here’s a brief recap of our incredible four-day NJDSC Road Trip:
Day 1 in Bergen County

Convention weekend kicked off in Bergen County at our Welcome Brunch held at the Meadowlands Racetrack in East Rutherford. Chairman Jones, Congressman Bill Pascrell, Speaker Craig Couglin, Bergen County Chairman Paul Juliano, and Passaic County Chairman John Currie spoke to guests about how we can come together in order to win in November’s critical midterm election.

That evening, our Latino Caucus hosted a virtual Hispanic Heritage Month celebration where attendees heard from State Senate Majority Leader M. Teresa Ruiz, Latino Caucus Chair (and Hunterdon County Chair) Arlene Quinoñes-Perez, Caucus Co Vice Chairs Maria Del Cid and Cristina Pinzon, Congressional Candidate for NJ’s 8th district, Rob Menendez, activist Dr. Patricia Campos-Medina, Morris County Democrats Chairwoman Amalia Duarte, and digital storyteller Sara Mora about the power of the Latino vote. Senator Bob Menendez, who couldn’t attend live, sent in a video commemorating the achievements and work of the New Jersey Latino community:

Friday, our NJDSC Road Trip took us to the historic Masonic Temple in our capital city of Trenton for the Congressional Luncheon. The luncheon was the showpiece of our convention and it not only highlighted our amazing congressional delegation, but it also gave NJDSC an opportunity to highlight our Youth Leaders throughout the state. Each Member of Congress and congressional candidate was introduced by a Youth Leader. We could not be prouder of your young leaders!
