When I first ran for the U.S. Senate, I started out 17 points down from the popular Republican incumbent who had truckfulls of campaign cash from Wall Street.
Massachusetts had never elected a woman to the U.S. Senate before — and a lot of people thought we still weren't ready to elect one in 2012. They wished me luck but said we didn't stand a chance.
But then we won — by 7.5 points.
I'm no stranger to tough fights. I know how to fight, and more importantly, I know how to win — and right now, winning this is going to take resources.
Together, we've raised over $17 million for the quarter — but that means we're a good chunk behind where we were at this point last quarter. If we don't pick up the pace right now, we won't be in the strongest possible position heading into 2020.
