Team,
Today is the 50th anniversary of the Clean Water Act.
Debbie is one of the biggest champions for clean water. That’s why she joined the EPA and environmental leaders today in Cleveland to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Clean Water Act.
John Dingell was one of the original architects of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act, which we all know today as the Clean Water Act. The Clean Water Act paved the way to clean up waterways that were once polluted. Thanks to this critical legislation, many of our rivers, lakes, and oceans are now clean and ideal for boating, fishing, swimming, and sourcing drinking water.
Debbie knows that clean and affordable water is a basic human right. That’s why she has been working since she was elected to fight for clean water for everyone, from pushing forward legislation to aid in the clean up of toxic PFAS chemicals to stopping water shutoffs during the pandemic.
Today is an important reminder that we must continue working together to protect our resources, especially a resource as critical as water.
Will you join Debbie today and sign on to her petition that Congress must continue working to make clean water a reality for all? Add your name here >>> [[link removed]]
Thanks for standing with Debbie today,
Team Dingell
