Ukraine's Capital Attacked by Explosive Drones
Early Monday morning, five drones holding explosives hit Ukraine's capital Kyiv. Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal reported that the drones appeared to be targeting energy infrastructure. Multiple residential buildings and energy facilities near Kyiv’s train station were hit and damaged in the attack.Â
Russia’s Defense Ministry claimed the attacks to be “long-range precision strikes'' against “military objects and energy systems'' in Ukraine.
Andriy Yermak, Ukraine's President's chief of staff, called on Western governments to provide Ukraine with more air defense, adding that this is no time for “slow actions.”
Should the U.S. provide air defense systems to Ukraine?
