If you're like many Americans, you're concerned about where our country is headed. You see big-government ideologies like socialism gaining a foothold, and you worry that we've lost the spirit of freedom and independence that has made our nation great.
The problem can seem so overwhelming that some people choose not to take any action at all. As Mark Meckler described himself before becoming active in the Tea Party, these people pay attention to the news and vote in national elections, but otherwise they don't engage.
The Convention of States Project is unique because it gives average Americans the ability to engage locally while also having a national impact. As Mark explains in the video below, an Article V Convention of States is called and controlled by the states but has the ability to stem the tide of big-government policies and return power to the people.
