Last Tuesday, during a debate, Mike Levin declared that he does NOT support lowering taxes on veterans.
Moderator: "Do you support reducing taxes on military pensions?"
Levin: "No, absolutely not"

After Team Maryott highlighted his harmful stance, Levin sensed he was in trouble. He tweeted:

This is what is looks like to put politics before people. Levin should be ashamed of himself.
It's important to note that California is one of the few states that doesn't provide any tax relief for veteran retirement income. Levin defending this position shows just how out of touch he is. Even liberal states like New York, New Jersey, and Hawaii don't tax military retirement at all...
Brian Maryott responded, "In four years Congressman Levin has never lifted a finger or spent one ounce of energy or political capital lobbying Sacramento for this important change - but now that he is in a close race he wakes up? Retired veterans are leaving California and he doesn’t seem to care."
None of this should surprise us as this is the same Congressman who is an original co-sponsor of a health care bill that decimates TriCare, the very popular healthcare network our retired veterans enjoy.
Brian will always fight for veterans, not just when it is politically convenient.
Hear from Tom, our Veterans Coalition Coordinator, about why he is a Veteran for Maryott:
