Solidarity is Financial

John,

We did it! After two years of continuously working with America’s biggest banks, we got Capital One and Citigroup to agree to eliminate all overdraft fees. Others—like Bank of America, Chase, and PNC—have either reduced or created accounts free of punitive fees. Through direct meetings, petition signatures and storytelling as part of our Beyond the Statement campaign, we showed banks the disproportionate impact overdraft fees have on Black people. Although more needs to be done, these efforts support sound banking for our communities.  Members like you are the reason why banks are finally taking us seriously on racial justice.

fight for Economic Justice

Black people are more likely to pay higher banking fees than white people. We are demanding that cash go back into the pockets of Black people and others harmed by the absence of sound banking. We only have the power to move these big banks because of your dedication. But the fight isn’t over until all major banks agree to eliminate overdraft fees. John, will you continue to support our economic justice work by pitching in $5 today?
