Dear Friends and Neighbors,

We are just three weeks from Election Day on Tuesday, November 8th! By now, you are getting tired of all the political emails, texts, and ads – luckily, we are in the final stretch.

This election is critically important. Our showing up to vote this year will determine how Minnesota’s government functions not just for the next two years, but also for many future election cycles. The people we hire at the ballot box to represent us at the State House and Senate make decisions that impact so many local issues, from how our state is funded and how our K-12 public schools thrive to investments in our roads and bridges and your health care access. Right now, I am focused on ensuring Democrats maintain a majority in the Minnesota House so we can continue to work for you and your family.

Electing thoughtful, non-divisive leaders that will work hard to get things done for our community is critical. I am proud to support Dr. Alice Mann for State Senate and encourage you to check out her website here: https://dralicemann.com/

I hope you and your families have a great MEA extended break and that you get to explore some of our community and state during this beautiful time of year.

Onward to November!

Endorsement Alert!

I am proud to receive the endorsement of Pro-Choice Minnesota, an organization that is dedicated to protecting reproductive freedom. Even when anti-abortion legislators are trying to limit the rights of women across the state, I will support people seeking the care they need. We deserve the right to make decisions about our own bodies, and I proudly stand with abortion providers and reproductive healthcare advocates.

Out in the Community

It was great to door knock and talk to neighbors in Edina this past weekend. Several community members even took lawn signs for Dr. Mann and me – thank you to everyone that is hosting a sign. If you are able to host one, sign up here and we can deliver them this week! There is still time to show your support for DFL candidates: https://www.heatheredelson.com/lawn-sign

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

It was a great honor to moderate and participate in a panel of strong cancer survivors at the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network 2022 Research and Innovation Forum last week. As a breast cancer survivor myself, the stories were moving. I left ready to work hard for improved policy to fight cancer!
