We fund voter protection John, this is a HUGE blow to voter turnout among young voters. For years, a polling location on the Texas A&M University’s campus was one of the county’s most popular early-voting sites. But this year, the county commissioner moved the polling location off campus citing low voter turnout as one of the reasons. It’s a flat-out lie, John. This is a targeted attempt to suppress students’ votes in Texas, and we know exactly what party is behind it. The county is now acknowledging it was a "mistake," but at this point, it's too late to fix the problem. This is exactly why year-round voter protection is so critical. Power the Vote is doing everything we can to monitor elections and fight for voter access — including funding voter protection staff in Texas. This doesn’t come cheap, but we can’t afford to skimp, John. Voting rights are on the line. Our democracy is on the line.
