Hi, John — it’s Nick, Beto’s campaign manager.
Since Day One, I’ve committed to being transparent with our supporters and donors about how we’re running this campaign. That’s why I’m emailing you now.
With 22 days left to defeat Greg Abbott, the stakes couldn’t be higher in Texas. So together, my team and I have decided to authorize the biggest possible budget to fund our organizing, TV ads, radio ads, digital outreach, in-person events, calls and texts to voters, relational organizing, and more.
I’m proud of this decision, because I believe it’s essential to our strategy to elect Beto. But it’s not without risk:
We have to meet EVERY goal between now and November 8th, or we’ll have to make huge last-minute budget cuts that could hurt our campaign.
I could only make this decision because of the trust I have in Team Beto. You and your fellow supporters have stepped up again, again, and again to reach even our steepest goals. That’s why I’m reaching out today to see if you will get on board and help us back Beto with the biggest possible campaign budget.
It’s as simple as this, John.
If we don’t meet our goals, we will reach fewer voters, host fewer events, and even risk pulling some of our ads off the air right as voters are casting their ballots.
But if we DO meet our goals, we will have the resources to maximize our efforts on every front and ensure our best chance of electing Beto as Governor on November 8th.
Believe me when I tell you that donations in the $3 to $100 range make up the vast majority of our campaign’s funds. Folks like YOU will decide whether or not we can execute a winning campaign over the next three weeks.
I’m confident we’re going to come together and take Beto’s campaign to the next level, right when it matters most.
Thank you so much,
Nick Rathod
Campaign Manager, Beto for Texas
