Dear John,
There have been four elections
in San Francisco this year. FOUR, and it’s not even November
yet! Each time, you have
come out in force to ensure that your voice and your vision has been
heard loud and clear by the leaders you elect to serve.
Now in just 22 days, San Franciscans will be faced with
our last opportunity this year to go to the polls and shape the future
of our City.
Elections have such special meaning
to us all. For me, it is critical to be able to enrich the public
discourse with thoughts and ideas that will inform the world our
children will live in. I
still remember watching my grandmother fill out her ballot when I was
a child - she always voted and made sure that I knew how important it
was.
Today I'm sharing my ballot recommendations for the
upcoming November election. These candidates
and measures will put our City back on the right track.
The dialogue we share with each other
and the process through which we decide who or what will earn our vote
is just as important as our votes themselves.
Thank you for standing with me and
not giving up on what our City can be. The events of the last few
years could not have been predicted, but the hope and faith that we
continue to have in San Francisco will never wane.
Sincerely,
London Breed Mayor
