I was driving home after a day of knocking on doors and talking with our community when I saw this awesome red truck parked in a driveway. At the time it only had the Mark Kelly sign.
Of course, I stopped and knocked on the door to introduce myself.
The husband and wife are in their 70’s and they were getting ready to go to downtown Phoenix and feed the homeless. They had made sandwiches and pots of spaghetti with meatballs. They were also bringing cases of water, cookies, and dog bones.
We spent a lot of time talking and sharing solutions to the priorities that are important to our community and city.
I was so glad I stopped.
Fast forward to the following weekend and I received an email from them asking if they could put my sign on their truck.
This is what the support of the community looks like.

District 6 has started to fill out their ballots or are going to the polls, and we need the support of our grassroots team to make sure every voter hears Joan's message. Can you chip $5, $25 or whatever you can today to help us reach our $4,000 Voter Outreach Fund goal?
How much we raise for this fund will have an immediate impact on this campaign, determining how much we can spend on critical outreach and on support for our volunteers.
With your help, District 6 and Phoenix will finally have a community-focused, integrity-driven, and compassionate Councilwoman.

The amount isn’t as important as the donation itself because it’s going to take a lot of people chipping in as much as they can to reach our goal. A win this November is a win for our families and businesses.
