The 4th Biennial Race and Power in America Summit is only 46 days away and the event is shaping up to be one of our best yet! Here are some updates and reminders you need to be aware of . . .

1. Last week we announced a ticketed reception to celebrate Gamaliel@35 and the launch of the Race and Power Institute. Though that reception had been part of the planning from the beginning, we have determined that it is far more important to have as many of our people together for the celebration than to use it as a separate fundraiser. For that reason, we will be hosting the celebration during dinner on Friday, December 2. The cost for the dinner is already included in the registration fees. Watch for the program agenda for that event in an upcoming eblast.

2. We have extended the deadline for purchasing and submitting ads through Monday, October 31—which is the last possible date given our layout and printing schedule. You can find the details for ads here. [Technical/Production Information for Ads] The ads in the program booklet, along with membership in the Race and Power Institute Founders’ Club are important ways to support our ongoing race and power work. Look at your community . . . are there individuals or organizations who share our values that you can approach who would purchase an ad or become a founding member of the Race and Power Institute? The deadline for becoming a Founders’ Club member is December 31, 2022.

3. Finally, rooms are filling up quickly at the Maritime Center, so register now for Race and Power.
