John, today we’d like to highlight several of our Regional Organizing Directors and their thoughts on why every single vote matters this November. First, though, we’re just one week away from Pennsylvania’s voter registration deadline. Can you donate $10 today to help us hit our $2,000 goal by Friday so we can register new voters within the communities we center before it’s too late?

Dyneco Gibson, Regional Organizing Director (Chester/Delaware Counties): "I want to ensure my daughter and generations to come have the same rights and freedoms that people before me fought so hard for."

Katie Zemaitis, Regional Organizing Director (Allegheny County): "Midterms matter. Who we elect on November 8th is going to be indicative of the future of this Commonwealth."

Taiba Sultana, Regional Organizing Director (Monroe/Northampton Counties): "My vote is my power, and a single vote can change the outcome of an election."

Ben Gillespie, Regional Organizing Director (Bucks County): "We can't take democracy for granted any longer and I won't. I know that I have to fight to keep democracy."

Rochelle Adjei, Regional Organizing Director (Montgomery County): "Our freedom is at stake in November. I want to make sure my voice is heard when it comes to women's reproductive rights and our constitutional rights as Americans."

John, there you have it, straight from our Regional Organizing Directors themselves. Our rights, our freedoms, and our very democracy are on the ballot in Pennsylvania in just a few weeks — but we have just one week left to register our youth, immigrants, Black, Indigenous, and other people of color to vote on it. Will you chip in $10 right now to help us make the most of this last week?

The New Pennsylvania Project was founded in May 2021 to expand Pennsylvania’s electorate, so it reflects the Commonwealth’s demographically changing population. In the next four years, NPP will engage and empower young residents and those living in underrepresented immigrant and communities of color. We register communities to vote, provide civic education about the issues that matter in their neighborhoods, and mobilize Pennsylvanians to vote in every election.
