John, BREAKING: We’re taking on insurrectionist candidates in Pennsylvania. Sen. Art Haywood (D-Montgomery/Philadelphia) introduced a new resolution last week that ensures that the Secretary of the Commonwealth follows the mandate of Section 3 of the 14th Amendment and bars any candidate who has taken an oath to support the Constitution and then engaged in insurrection against the United States from appearing on any future ballot in Pennsylvania. Senate Resolution 357 urges the Secretary to enforce Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution of the U.S. and disqualify any insurrectionist candidate from appearing on election ballots in the Commonwealth for any office. Sign if you agree: Insurrectionists who violate their oath of office are constitutionally ineligible to seek public office. The introduction of Senate Resolution 357 serves as a critical step to protecting our republic and to defending Section 3 of the 14th Amendment. “No one is above the law,” said Sen. Haywood. “Elected officials in the U.S. take an oath of office to support the Constitution and be servants of the people. No person who engaged in the Jan. 6 attack at the U.S. Capitol, or supports insurrectionists, should be allowed to hold public office.” Sign the petition: Bar insurrectionists from the ballot.
