My family, friends and team will be the first to tell you that I’m a straight shooter. After years on the bench as a judge and Chief Justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court, it’s just my nature.

I don’t like to mince words, so I’ll be upfront. I’m reaching out today to ask you to make a contribution because my campaign’s final FEC deadline is in two days. This is the last time before Election Day that we’re required to publicly share all of our fundraising numbers.

We’ve set a very ambitious goal — one that will ensure we have the resources to flip North Carolina even in the face of limitless sums of Republican dark money.

Will you please contribute today to make sure we reach this goal before the final FEC deadline? This race is in a dead heat, and we are going to put every dollar to work immediately in the most efficient and effective way possible to turn out the voters we need to win.

I think you deserve a U.S. Senator who calls it like she sees it. That’s how we’ve strived to run this campaign from the start — with honesty and transparency as core values.

From the start of this campaign, we’ve tried to be as transparent as possible because there would be no campaign without the support of folks like you. I won’t promise you fake “triple matches” or use scare tactics. I believe we should expect more from our leaders, and there are enough lies in this race coming from my opponents already.

I want you to know that when we ask it’s because it’s important. It’s because I know that $3 and $10 at a time will make a difference.

And with our final FEC deadline in 2 days, the reality is that I need to lean on this team for support. There are still important investments we can make today that will pay massive dividends when the votes are counted, but we won’t be able to do that if we fall short of our goal.
