People like Whatcom County Executive Satpal Sidhu and Tacoma Port Commissioner Kristin Ang are just two of many environmental champions elected this year who will push back against fossil fuels in their communities. These new leaders can make a lasting difference for our environment.
We can protect vulnerable communities from the impacts of polluted air and water. We can continue to push back on new and expanded oil and coal terminals that would tie us to fossil fuel infrastructure for generations to come.
We can move forward with reducing carbon emissions in our state and transition to an equitable, clean energy future. We can make sure that more of our friends and neighbors have access to their right to vote. We can also protect the Southern Resident orcas that call Puget Sound waters home.
