Over the last five years, the U.S. has seen several unprecedented tropical storms and hurricanes: Harvey, Irma, Maria, Michael, Laura, Ida, and now Ian. 

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s most recent assessment concluded that hurricanes will continue to intensify rapidly, making a preparedness plan more necessary than ever.
