That’s why Moms Demand Action is committed to electing Dem AGs this November.
Hi there friend – Shannon Watts here, gun violence prevention advocate and founder of Moms Demand Action.
Moms Demand Action is a grassroots movement of Americans fighting to protect people from gun violence. We work to close the loopholes that endanger families, encourage a culture of responsible gun ownership, and end preventable gun violence.
I’m a mother of five, and after the Sandy Hook tragedy, I was devastated and enraged by the lack of a response from our elected officials. So, I created a Facebook group to start a conversation about what Americans could be doing to reduce gun violence. That’s grown to millions of moms, dads, students, teachers, and concerned people advocating for sensible gun safety measures. Democratic AGs are on the frontlines with me fighting to keep our communities safe, and I support DAGA because they are the only group dedicated to electing Democrats to AG seats around the country. Please, chip in $10 to DAGA to help elect Dem AGs that will keep communities safe by advocating for common sense gun safety laws.
There are countless examples of Dem AGs taking action to reduce gun violence. Nevada AG Aaron Ford has led the fight to enact bans on bump stocks and silencers. In Illinois, AG Kwame Raoul prosecuted dozens of cases of gun trafficking. Connecticut AG William Tong is fighting back against gun group challenges to the state’s assault weapons ban. If we’re going to stand up to the gun lobby, get ghost guns off the streets, and keep our families safe from gun violence, all three of these Dem AGs who are up for reelection need our support.
