Hi there,
Over the past few weeks, Abby has been meeting with Iowans, local business leaders, and other community stakeholders from all across the district to figure out how she can best serve IA-01 while nearly every bill passed in the House dies in the Senate.
Abby’s talking about how we can bring Iowans voices to DC and make sure we’re cutting through the chaos. Meanwhile, local and national Republicans have laid out a strategy right out of 2018, focusing on fear and division instead of standing up for all Iowans.
Our roadmap is built around how to get things done, and we can’t let the hatred and dishonesty continue to stop the common sense progress we’re making on top issues like jobs, healthcare, and infrastructure.
Earlier this month, Abby headed to Cedar Rapids for the Freedom Fest parade. Meeting constituents and connecting with them personally is one of Abby’s favorite parts about representing her home district in Congress. Below are some photos from Freedom Fest:

Abby and our team had a fun and inspiring afternoon at Progress Iowa Corn Feed. There were 11 presidential candidates at the event, and we had a blast welcoming friends from across the district, state, and country. Abby took the stage and told the crowd that she “went to Washington, not to be part of a reality TV show, but to fight for YOU.” Here are some photos from that awesome event:

We’ve got a lot of work to do to ensure Abby wins re-election, but Abby’s ready to keep fighting for the hope, respect, and values she sees in her neighbors everyday. Thanks so much for being one of Abby’s strongest supporters -- we couldn’t do this work without YOU.
More updates soon,
Team Finkenauer
