Hey, friend. It's David Hogg, Parkland survivor and gun safety advocate. I want you to remember this important number: 3.3 million.

That's how many dollars Marco Rubio has taken from the gun lobby throughout his political career. As gun lobbyists bankrolled his campaign, he voted against lifesaving gun violence prevention bills over and over again – even after an assault weapon was used to brutally murder 14 of my classmates and 3 educators at my high school in Florida. 

Every single dollar Marco Rubio has taken from the gun lobby is one more reason that he doesn't deserve to serve another second in the Senate. 

That's why I'm working to raise that same $3.3 MILLION for Val Demings so she can defeat gun lobby puppet Marco Rubio. I know it won't be easy, but small-dollar donors have already helped me raise $500,000 in just a couple of weeks – so I know we're up for the challenge.

There are too many Americans like me – Americans who have felt the pain and heartbreak of losing friends or family members to gun violence. Again and again, people are being gunned down in high schools, grocery stores, movie theaters and more – all because politicians like Marco Rubio are bending over backward to push the gun lobby's agenda and blocking commonsense legislation that could save lives. 

To end the gun violence epidemic, we must expand our majority in the Senate to abolish the filibuster – and Val Demings' race is our best chance to pick up another lifesaving vote in the Senate.
