Here at Brady, our core mission is to save lives by preventing gun violence across the country. So much so, that we’re ambitiously aiming to reduce gun violence 25% by 2025.
Right now, there are nearly 40,000 deaths caused by guns every year – that’s more than 100 gun deaths a day, John. 40,000 family members, friends, and coworkers that are lost far too soon due to senseless gun violence we know is preventable.
That’s why we’ve pledged to reduce gun violence – not because it’s easy, but because we have a moral obligation to save lives. But in order to stay on track and make progress toward saving lives, we need to hit goals like this one – especially when every dollar we receive will be matched up to our $100,000 goal.
This year, we’ve seen the difference Brady can make: We’ve helped pass bipartisan, common-sense policies across the country, scored meaningful wins in court, and helped communities rebuild after tragedies.
To keep up this work and hit our ambitious goal to reduce gun violence by 25%, we’re counting on grassroots supporters like you to power Brady to bigger, bolder victories in the year to come.
2020 is our first chance to take back the Senate from Mitch McConnell and the NRA’s stranglehold – and to expand our gun violence prevention majority in the House.
2020 is an opportunity to help prevent school shootings from happening in the first place, to grow our campaign to store all weapons in households safely, and to kick-start a year of fighting for a gun-violence free America in the courts. But, John – we can’t do that without you.
