We have spent the past week looking back on 2019. Today, we are looking ahead to 2020. It is not an understatement to say 2020 stands to be a turning point in our democracy, in our country’s history, in our world.

We will be facing what some are calling the most important election in our lifetimes, and Jahana will be working to elect Democrats up and down the ballot in November.

Of course, Jahana is also up for re-election herself. As a freshman in a 50/50 split district, we at Team Hayes are planning to work our tails off to get Jahana’s message out. We are looking forward to talking about Jahana’s record of delivering results for Connecticut’s 5th District with voters in every single one of the 41 towns in this district.

But to do that, we will need your support. Our campaign is ready to hit the ground running, and we’ll soon be printing mailers, putting up yard signs, and running digital, print, and television ads to communicate Jahana’s accomplishments and mission to voters.

Election Day might seem far off, but it will be here before you know it. We need to start executing these strategies NOW in order to fend off multiple GOP challengers – this is one of the most highly contested districts in the country.
