We talk a lot about FEC fundraising deadlines, so we wanted to take a moment to explain why this upcoming pre-general FEC deadline is so important to Mark Kelly’s chances.

The pre-general FEC deadline is the last public filing deadline before the election. It’s the LAST opportunity for everyone to size each other up. If we put up a weak number, it will likely trigger a last-minute avalanche of outside spending.

Our opponent’s campaign, PACs, and dark money groups could have raised absurd amounts of money they’re ready to spring on us. That could mean attack ads on TV, on radio, online, or even on billboards just days before the election.

That’s why these deadlines are so important — strategically and practically. Every campaign, national group, and Super PAC will look at these reports and make budget decisions.

So, we have to raise everything we can before the deadline on Wednesday so we’re prepared to fight back in the final few days of this campaign.

And since these emails are the primary way Mark Kelly’s campaign raises money, it means we have to ask:
