A NOTE FROM CHRISSY

The election is less than a month away – 22 days, but who is counting – and the sprint to it is a whirlwind. My team and I have ramped up our campaign to reach every voter across PA-06 and ensure they head to the polls, fully informed on our race, by Election Day. During all of this, my favorite part of the campaign has been bringing you news of the progress we’ve made together. In that spirit, I am excited to share some progress worth celebrating:

Recipient of two distinctive Democracy Awards for serving our community
Perhaps Bradford Fitch, president and CEO of the Congressional Management Foundation, says it best – “Americans usually only hear about Congress when something goes wrong. The Democracy Awards shines a light on Congress when it does something right.” I am exceedingly humbled to have recently been awarded two of these distinguished awards, one for Constituent Services and the other for Workplace Environment – making me the first member ever to win two awards in the same term. Not only do these awards honor the acts of fostering innovation and transparency in Congress, but more importantly, they highlight my commitment to serving the PA-06 community. This is at the core of everything I do. That’s why my team and I work hard to build relationships with colleagues from across the political spectrum, as we listen to deliver for our community. I look forward to continuing to build on the progress we’ve made for our district.

Ensuring access to high-quality, affordable health care and education
These past few years have proven just how important providing high-quality care to patients truly is. That’s why I am excited to share our office's proposal to help fund Alvernia University's nursing program and support its partnership with Reading Area Community College. This crucial investment will not only support Berks County jobs and the health of our community, it will also make resources affordable and accessible to all Pennsylvanians pursuing a career in allied health.

Supporting and celebrating women in the Air Force
Growing up, my role model was the astronaut Sally Ride. Seeing her fly to space, I knew I wanted to be just like her, so I secured an ROTC scholarship to study engineering, then joined the Air Force. But as a Captain in the Air Force and a leader in the private sector, I saw only a few people who looked like me. Today, women make up more than 20% of active-duty enlisted personnel in the Air Force. I can confidently say that our military is stronger because of the number of women in our ranks, including Ms. Gina Ortiz Jones, the under secretary of the Air Force, who has spent her career working to protect U.S. economic and national security. I encourage women and girls from every background to consider a career in the Air Force. We need your grit, determination, and strength to make this country and world a more secure place for future generations. I hope in the coming years, I’ll be able to say women make up 50% of our DoD.

Ramping up for the election
And with so much on the line – from voting rights to reproductive freedom – this year's midterm elections are a pivotal chance for us to fight back. With less than a month until Election Day, we are lacing up and knocking on neighbors’ doors all across PA-06. To continue to fight for our democracy and the right to choose, and lower costs and better jobs, I need you out there with me! I hope you get a chance to join me. You can sign up here to volunteer.

"I’m extremely grateful for the community we have built here, and I look forward to sharing more good news in the future. In the meantime, I hope you get a chance to look at our volunteering website for exciting events and opportunities to join our team!

Thank you as always. There is work to be done."

All of the work we've been putting in for months will come down to the next four weeks. We are committed to doing everything we can to help Chrissy win in PA-06, but we can't do this without the support of our grassroots team. Your support is what powers our work and allows us to continue making history electing leaders like Chrissy – including on November 8.

Will you make a donation to help reelect Chrissy to Congress? Your support means Chrissy can continue to pass bold, meaningful legislation in Congress that will truly help working folks and their families across PA-06.

Thank you for your support.
