We are grateful to see that Congress has ended a 20 year stalemate to fund the CDC $25 million for gun violence research. We're proud to be part of the alliance that has been advocating for research and more over the years. With your sustained support, we've been successful in Massachusetts for gun violence prevention for 25 years. Worth mentioning again, our most celebrated wins include: - Passing the nation’s most comprehensive and effective gun laws in Massachusetts, including renewable licensing and registration for all gun sales
- Banning assault weapons, high capacity magazines and Bump Stocks in the Commonwealth
- Continuing our provocative iconic education and public awareness billboard campaign
- Distributing child safety gun locks to thousands of households
- Working in coalition to bring hundreds of volunteers and students to the statehouse for lobby days
- Reducing the rate of gun deaths in the Commonwealth by 40% and proved the NRA’s worst nightmare—gun laws save lives without banning most guns
