I had to review some tough updates today about our make-or-break Senate race – and because I know you care as much as I do about protecting our majority, I'm going to be brutally honest with you:

The experts at FiveThirtyEight increased my chances of losing after McConnell's super PAC started blanketing the Nevada airwaves with vicious attack ads against me. Worse still, Nate Silver himself said my seat is most likely to flip red – the one seat Mitch McConnell needs to take back Senate control.

So I made a decision to launch the most ambitious goal of our campaign: raise $600,000 by my mid-month fundraising deadline. But according to what I just read, we didn't even get 27% of the way there. 

Thankfully, my friend James Carville just threw us a lifeline: He rallied a group of Democratic donors to TRIPLE-MATCH all gifts to hit the biggest goal of our campaign! So please, will you make a donation that will go three times as far to fight back? Rush $5 (becomes $15!) so I can gain the resources necessary to pull ahead and defend Nevada and our Senate majority.

With only a few weeks to go in our race that WILL decide Senate control, multiple recent polls show my Trump-endorsed opponent ahead by a single point. As somebody who has fought and won close races before, I KNOW we can protect this seat and our majority. But Mitch McConnell and his allies are already spending more than $55 million to defeat me, which means the only way we can fight back and win is with a surge in grassroots resources.

That's why we set this ambitious and unprecedented fundraising goal – and I know we can reach it, but only if you step up.
