John,

40 Days for Life vigils are bad for an abortion facility's business.

Frequently during a campaign, prayer warriors find their local abortion center has unexpectedly cut back hours of operation or scheduled abortion days.

Longtime Colorado Springs, Colorado, campaign leader Michele reported that recently, the abortionist suddenly left for the day.

The abrupt departure meant at least one mom committed to choosing life. "This couple said they will have their baby now...and our signs got to her," said one vigil participant. "Praise God."

And that expectant mother might not be the only one to choose life that day.

After the abortionist left, "Up to 15 cars left the parking lot," Michele said. "These other babies were saved at least for a day. Please pray the moms and dads use this time to reconsider and choose life for good!!"

Beatriz Velasco, Mexico City, Mexico

Women began lining up for free abortions at the Beatriz Velasco abortion facility at 5:00 a.m. one recent Saturday morning.

"Suddenly, the social worker came out and informed them that there would be no abortions that day because the doctor was not going to come--and there was no one else to perform them," explained 40 Days for Life director of Latin American campaigns Lourdes Varela.

San Fernando Valley, California

Saturday has long been the deadliest abortion day of the week in America...

...but on one recent Saturday, campaign participants were delighted to find their local abortion facility CLOSED.

"For 50 years, Saturdays have been their busiest abortion days, and all of a sudden they're closed," shared Patti, the local leader.

El Puerto de Santa Maria, Spain

40 Days for Life participants in Spain are embattled by harsh laws designed to cripple their vigils...but God still hears and answers their prayers.

Every Monday and Friday, the abortion center in El Puerto de Santa Maria does 20-25 abortions.

However, on one recent abortion day, there were NO abortions.

"Even though the center was open, there were no abortion providers, no nurses, and no doctors," Lourdes explained. "We thank God because one day means a lot of lives saved!"

The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge.

--Psalm 19:1-2

Heavenly Father, thank You that creation itself proclaims Your existence and points to Your truth. With the explicit testimony of Your Word as our foundation, may we also help those around us understand that the sciences of conception and gestation reveal profound and immutable truths about You and about what it means to be created in Your image.
