Hi John.
Anything is possible when Kansans work together.
I know a lot of folks are frustrated by partisanship and political games these days. It’s understandable when people have honest disagreements. But at the end of the day, people need solutions to lower their costs, strengthen their schools, and keep their communities safe.
That’s why I served as a key negotiator to help finalize a major bipartisan economic law – the CHIPS and Science Act. The new law is all about making more products and jobs here in America – not China. I was honored to work with Republicans and Democrats on the committee, including Kansas Senator Jerry Moran, to help get this bill across the finish line.

I was honored to meet with Senator Moran shortly after taking office.
The last thing we need is more extremism, division, and empty promises.
My focus is on concrete and bipartisan solutions to build a better future, with more jobs and lower prices.
That’s why more than 73 percent of the bills I’m cosponsoring are bipartisan. I’m committed to fighting corruption and extremism across the political spectrum so we can deliver results for hardworking Kansans.
The bipartisan CHIPS and Science law is a terrific example of what we can do when we work together.
It’s all about securing American supply chains, lowering costs, and creating more good-paying jobs.
For example, it makes major investments in American semiconductor manufacturing. Semiconductor chips are used in everything from cars to medical devices to consumer goods. Unfortunately, an ongoing chip shortage has contributed to inflation and driven up prices on many products.
We’ve seen how the chip shortage has impacted businesses right here in Kansas. Cherub Medical Supplies, a Shawnee-based supplier of medical devices, grappled with long delays due to a lack of chips.
But with the new bipartisan law, we now have tools to make our supply chains more resilient. It also includes support for small- and medium-sized manufacturers – not just large corporations – which I’ve pushed hard for.

While visiting Cherub Medical Supplies in Shawnee, I heard about how an insufficient supply of chips is impacting local businesses.
I understand folks are frustrated by partisan bickering.
As I see it, everyone deserves a government that works for them – not just for special interests, big corporations, or the extremes of either party. Whether we agree on everything or not is besides the point. My job is to serve every person and every corner of our community to the best of my ability.
That includes always being available to help you however we can. If you need any resources, including to find cheaper gas prices or to get help with health care, housing, groceries, and much more, please visit our website at davids.house.gov/lowercosts.
It’s an incredible honor to serve you in the U.S. House of Representatives. If you have any questions, you’re always welcome to contact me.
Please feel free to forward this message to anyone you know.
My warmest regards,
