Friend --
In a few moments, I am going to ask you to make a donation to my re-election campaign for U.S. Senate in Minnesota. We have our final FEC fundraising deadline next week, and I want to explain why this is such an important moment for our campaign.
My first job in Minnesota was at General Mills. My husband Archie and I moved to St. Louis Park, had two children, and found our life here. After that, I started my own business and spent my time volunteering in our community. I loved it!
That work led me to Planned Parenthood, where I fought to champion women and families. I went on to become Chief of Staff for the Mayor of Minneapolis, and then Chief of Staff for Governor Mark Dayton.
When Mark asked me to run with him as Lieutenant Governor, I never looked back. I loved serving all Minnesotans, which eventually led me to the U.S. Senate -- where I have spent my first year standing up for what was right for our state and working hard to move good ideas forward.
The truth is, I didn't run for public office for fame, money, or power. I ran because I wanted to make a difference in people's lives. And folks like you supported me because you wanted to make a difference, too.
I want to keep fighting for the people of Minnesota and folks across the country, but I need your support to do so. So, here's the part where I ask for your help:
Will you add a contribution of whatever you can afford to our re-election campaign for U.S. Senate in Minnesota before the end-of-year FEC deadline? I need your support to keep our team on track and focus on all the critical work we have ahead of us. Anything you can give would mean the world to me.

Your support makes an incredible difference for our campaign and my work for the people of Minnesota. Every dollar you give allows me to continue fighting for our values in Washington -- and if we're successful next year, I'll get the chance to continue our important work.
I'm very fortunate to have supporters like you I can count on. I cannot tell you how grateful I am that you're a part of this. Thank you.
Yours,
Tina
