Folks – we’re about to ask you to rush $5 to our battleground campaign before our last FEC deadline of the election – but first, there are a few things you should know:

• RealClearPolitics just increased Republicans’ chances of flipping IL-06 red – officially moving our must-win House race into “toss-up” territory. We need to fight back ASAP or we could lose this seat and our Democratic House majority.
• The Daily Herald endorsed Sean’s re-election campaign, so now all eyes are on us. The press will be using our publicly reported fundraising numbers as an indicator of whether we have what it takes to keep this seat blue.
• We’re falling $25,924 behind on our pre-election FEC goal. If we don’t close the gap, it could lead to us posting a weak fundraising report; a slew of outside spending flooding IL-06; Sean’s seat getting flipped. You get the idea.

Asking you to chip in $5 might not seem like much, but every $5 donation makes a difference in a race this close. So, can we count on you to chip in $5 before our final FEC deadline of the election?
