BIG: Politico reports that Adam Kinzinger, the other Republican on the January 6 Committee besides Liz Cheney -- who just voted on live TV to subpoena Donald Trump -- is endorsing Democratic candidates for Secretary of State as "xxxxxxs to defend against a real constitutional crisis in 2024."
In an interview with Politico, Adam Kinzinger said: "A badly placed, bad-faith Secretary of State can really throw the whole country into chaos."
John, for over a year, thousands of PCCC members across the country have been donating to Democratic, pro-democracy Secretary of State campaigns in key battleground states to protect the offices that will oversee the 2024 election.
Adam Kinzinger’s major announcement comes on the heels of dire warnings from President Biden and Barack Obama –- whose "exceedingly rare" decision to campaign for Secretary of State candidates marks "the importance of those positions for the 2024 election," according to CNN.
Recently, Liz Cheney delivered a searing indictment of election deniers running for Secretary of State in Arizona and across the country, saying: "We cannot give people power who have told us they will not honor elections…It’s important for the nation and for the future functioning of our constitutional republic."
Secretary of State races typically don't get tons of national scrutiny, but election-denying candidates in several battleground states are ahead in the latest polls. In 2022, Democrats cannot afford to ignore the races that will determine who conducts and oversees the 2024 election.
