[1]Cheri Beasley for North Carolina
Life is full of surprises. When I was starting out as a public defender, I never imagined that I'd run for judge, win two statewide races, or become the first African American woman to serve as North Carolina’s Chief Justice.
Even just two years ago, running for the U.S. Senate wasn’t something I thought would happen. I never planned it, but my mom taught me the importance of public service. And with Washington failing our families, I knew I had to answer the call again to fight to change the status quo and give people a voice in the Senate.
There have even been surprises in this race. As a daughter of the Civil Rights movement, I never thought I’d see a candidate for U.S. Senate attack the right to vote or believe that free and fair elections are controversial. Yet here we are — my opponent voted to overturn the 2020 election on January 6 and has refused to commit to accepting the results of our own race.
But I think what has been most humbling is just how many people are with us in this fight. So many folks like you have pitched in whatever time and treasure they could afford. It’s because of the overwhelming amount of grassroots support we’ve received that we are in a strong position to flip this seat.
In the face of over $50 million of outside Republican spending, we have fended off their smears and kept the polls tied. This campaign is funded $3 and $10 at a time, and it all makes a difference. So I need to lean on you today for support to make sure we have the resources to finish strong.
Can you make a donation to our campaign to win North Carolina today? I’m counting on grassroots support to fight back against Republicans’ dark money. Even $3 and $10 makes a difference when we all chip in.

Together, we’ve stunned the Washington insiders and pundits who tried to count us out for so long.
No chance they’re sleeping on North Carolina now. And if we all do our part in these closing weeks, we will have a historic victory on November 8.
