The war in Ukraine is in its eighth month and it continues to take a toll on children’s lives. As threats intensify, UNICEF is adapting efforts to reach every child in need.
Thanks to supporters like you, our community has enabled UNICEF to remain in position to meet the needs of those most affected by the war, especially women and girls.
Teams are working tirelessly to keep girls in school despite disruptions to learning, ensure they receive access to nutrition and safe water, and provide gender-based violence response services to more than 80,000 women and children.

As of last month, more than 7.2 million refugees from Ukraine have been recorded across Europe — that's in addition to millions more internally displaced in Ukraine. This large-scale displacement could have lasting consequences for generations of children. It’s why UNICEF will continue to deliver life-changing supplies and essential services today — and, with your support, help children overcome the setbacks of war.
We’ll keep you updated on UNICEF’s evolving response efforts and share ways you can help children in the face of challenges this upcoming winter season.
Thank you for making a difference,
UNICEF USA
