Far-right Republican governors are exploiting migrants fleeing hardship to
score political points among their supporters by inhumanely and illegally
sending thousands of migrants around the country to traditionally “blue”
or progressive areas.

Abbott, DeSantis, and Ducey for their human rights abuses against

This barbaric treatment of migrants is not surprising or anything new from
the Far Right.

For decades, extremists have scapegoated migrant communities by
perpetuating lies about their impact on the livelihood and safety of the
American public. In doing so they deliberately provoke fear in voters, and
rile up white nationalists who amplify the messaging to wage a campaign of
hatred against communities of color.

Now, just months before the midterm elections, these three governors are
invoking the same fear and mistrust they’ve long relied upon to sway
voters to vote for Republicans – misusing taxpayer funds, committing human
rights violations, and potentially breaking human trafficking laws in the
process.
