Fellow Conservative,
Last night Heritage Action hosted a grassroots event in Scottsdale Arizona with special guest Blake Masters!
Masters wasn’t the only special guest—we were joined by: Rep. Jake Hoffman, Former Customs and Border Patrol Commissioner Mark Morgan, and President of the American Principles Project Terry Schilling.
You can re-watch the livestream HERE <[link removed]>
Thank you to everyone who attended and made the event possible. This was a great opportunity for the grassroots to connect with one another and discuss the issues that face our nation—everything from inflation to open borders and more.

Inflation Nation
On Thursday the latest Consumer Price Index (CPI) numbers were released—prices rose 8.2% from September 2021 to September 2022.
First Biden said Inflation wasn’t happening. Then he said it was “transitory.” And over the summer, we were told that Biden’s inflation reduction act would solve it.
But these latest numbers just show—inflation is here, it’s real, and Biden’s policies aren’t helping.
Energy prices continue to be relentlessly high and there is every reason to expect the price will only go up. Even Larry Summers, director of the National Economic Council under President Obama, explained <[link removed]> how Biden’s war on fossil-fuels is causing energy prices to increase.
The longer this disaster continues the greater the need for competent, conservative leadership in Washington.
Exposed by Heritage - Mayorkas Knowingly Lied!
The Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project has exposed DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas for the lier that he is.
A year ago pictures began circulating of mounted border patrol agents apprehending Hattian migrants at the southern border. The pictures were quickly misconstrued to suggest that the migrants were being whipped by border patrol. But this narrative was verifiably untrue. <[link removed]>
FOIA requests submitted by the Oversight project revealed <[link removed]> Secretary Mayorkas was told about the falsity of the whipping accusation, yet publicly repeated the lie anyway, even going so far as to call it an example of America’s “systematic racism.”
Secretary Mayorkas should resign. As he’s unlikely to do so, Congress should impeach him. <[link removed]>
Parents - A Key Voting Bloc
Jessica Anderson and Kevin Roberts penned a joint op-ed this week about the Parent Revolution: <[link removed]>
“The largest political coalition in America is not Republicans, Democrats, or even independents. It's parents, who comprise a significant majority of all U.S. adults. And today mothers and fathers are more united and energized than ever before around the defining issue of 2022: the education of their children.
This is a new development in American politics, and a direct response to the multi-year campaign of left-wing schooling policies that can only be described as a woke war on parents.”

Pending Legislation in Nov and Dec
When the current Congress returns to Washington after the elections, they will vote on a variety of last minute bills before the new Congress is sworn-in in January. Here are a few big ones to watch out for.
Omnibus Spending Bill to fund the government—Speaker Pelosi shouldn't get to pass Biden’s agenda for a third year before she leaves Congress. Conservatives should reject an omnibus spending bill written by outgoing Democrats.
Instead, Congress should pass a short-term continuing resolution that extends funding at its current level into the new year. This will allow for the newly elected Congress, which better reflects the will of the people, to set the spending and policy agenda for 2023.
National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA)—This is one of those “must-pass” bills that will make it to the President’s desk. For several years, virtue signalers have been trying to add a “Draft our Daughters” provision to the NDAA – and they are trying again this year.
Rather than focus on woke messaging, Congress should focus on military readiness, especially with the current heightened tensions on the world stage. And a provision to add women to the draft does nothing to improve military readiness—Congress should focus on polices that do. <[link removed]>

Again, these pieces of legislation highlight the importance of having Conservative leadership in Congress. Election day is only 24 days away. Be sure to vote and be sure to bring others with you!
