On Saturday, October 1, 2022 Sheriff Villanueva attended the Historic Filipino Town 20th Anniversary Celebration. HiFi Neighborhood Council member, Cecilia Ramos and Carson Council member Arleen Bocatija Rojas were in attendance to commemorate the historic cultural neighborhood. Filipinotown or ?HiFi? is located along the Temple-Beverly corridor, just northwest of downtown LA.

On Saturday, October 1, Sheriff Villanueva joined the Cumbre Las Americas (Summit of the Americas) hosted by the Christian Latin Business Chamber of Commerce. The event was held to discuss the crimes and social issues affecting the Latino Community. ?

On October 7, 2022, Sheriff Alex Villanueva along with?LA County Postal Inspector, Carroll Harris and Attorney General, Rob Bonta?held a press conference regarding postal theft and fraud prevention. With the assistance of multiple Los Angeles County Police Departments, state and federal agencies, 56 individuals were arrested in a scheme resulting in the theft of nearly five million dollars from unsuspected victims.
