John,
I know that our petition to Netflix is making a difference. All reports indicate that our protest is the subject of conversation in strategy meetings and around the building. You see, after each signature, we are sending a personal email on behalf of the petition signer to Netflix CEO Reed Hastings, Customer Service Chief Jeff Hensien, and Content Manager Ted Sarandos. So, when you sign this petition, Netflix’s top brass will hear directly from you. So far, we’ve sent over 1.25 million emails demanding they cancel "The First Temptation of Christ" (Porta Dos Fundos), which mocks our faith. There is a buzz around their offices about it. I think that eventually, we'll win this campaign. Netflix will cave if we keep increasing the number of active citizens in this fight. Can you help us meet our goal of 1,500,000 signature before December 31st? We have a special surprise for Reed Hastings if we do.
Sign the petition demanding that Netflix cancels this blasphemous film depicting Jesus as a homosexual and His disciples as drunks.
Netflix runs off of a membership-driven business model. So, they need to listen to customers and potential future customers when they speak. Because of this, our special surprise for Reed Hastings is that we will deliver petition signatures directly to his office. But we will only make this delivery if we meet our goal. I know that I’ve sent a lot of emails to you on this subject, but what I am asking you to do is important. If you help me with gain 1,500,000 signature before December 31st, your signature and the signature of those who signed the petition with you will land directly on the desk of Reed Hastings.
Thank you, Gregory Mertz and the entire CitizenGO Team P.S. The fastest way to help us meet our goal of 1,500,000 signatures and to have your signature land on the desk of Reed Hastings is to share this petition with your friends, family, and email lists. Dear John,
Lately, I find myself concerned about the content that children have access to view. Whether it's a movie on the Hallmark Channel, a television show, or something you can find on Netflix, I am encouraging parents and concerned CitizenGOers around the world to use your voice to let programming decision-makers know what we find acceptable.
Netflix's poor track record doesn't give them a pass to feature deplorable content.
This Christmas, Netflix will show a film by a Brazilian production group titled "The First Temptation of Christ," which depicts Jesus Christ as a homosexual.
Using humor and art as an excuse, this film attacks Christianity in an unprecedented manner. And more shocking, they supposedly produced this film as a "Christmas" film for viewers! The film presents Christ as having relations with a homosexual while the disciples are alcoholics and unruly. The Virgin Mary is presented as an adulterous woman. We are asking Netflix to cancel this movie as it mocks Christianity especially now as we approach Christmas, which is why it is important for you to sign this petition right away:

Until recently the anti-Christian works by Portas Do Fondos were only published on their YouTube channel. But this year, Netflix has decided to buy its production and distribution rights in a clear validation of the group's blasphemous content.
It is an absolutely unacceptable provocation. No one has the right to attack the faith of millions of people around the world. This type of supposed 'entertainment' has one aim -- to attack against Christianity. That is why we are asking Netflix to remove this brutal attack on faith. We need you, we need to be more active in our fight against apply content. Please sign our petition now:
Add your name: Ask Netflix to cancel the blasphemous film depicting Jesus as a homosexual.
By signing this petition, you will be sending an email to the following Netflix executives expressing your disagreement with their film: - Reed Hastings, founder and CEO of Netflix
- Jeff Hensien, Head of the Netflix Consumer Service Department
- Ted Sarandos, Netflix Content Manager
We need to let Netflix know what is appropriate.
Sign here to ask Netflix to cancel this film that is aimed at attacking Christianity. Add your name to this petition, and then pass it along to your friends. Thank you, Gregory Mertz and the entire CitizenGO Team P.S. Our work exposing Netflix's content and poor behavior has been meaningful. After months of intense backlash from conservatives, they reported shattering losses of $17 billion in overall value, which caused their stock to dive more than 10%. In fact, this was the first time in 8 years that Netflix reported negative membership totals. Wall Street got very jittery when they lost 126,000 subscribers in the United States and failed to meet their international goals. We need to keep up our pressure.
