Service Reminders
- Take transit to all your sporting events in Seattle this weekend. Metro and Link Light Rail serves riders heading to T-Mobile Park, Husky Stadium, Lumen Field and Climate Pledge Arena;
- The Huskies will have their home game at?University of Washington?at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday;?
- The Seattle Kraken will have a match at the Climate Pledge Arena at 7 p.m. on Saturday;
- Mariners will be playing in the ALDS playoffs at T-Mobile Park
- Game 3 of the series is on Saturday at?1:07 p.m., if the Mariners win the game the series will continue. Game 4 will be on Sunday at 12:07 p.m. and if the Mariners win the game the series will continue and Game 5 will be played Monday at 2:07 p.m.;
- The?Seahawks will take Lumen Field on Sunday at 1:05 p.m.;
- If the Mariners win Game 3 on Saturday then the start time for the Seahawks game will move to 2:30 p.m.;

Seattle Center Monorail?will operate late this weekend on Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 12 a.m. and Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 12 a.m. The Monorail will depart approximately every 10 minutes;

Water Taxi routine maintenance will be rescheduled, so that West Seattle Water Taxi can support fans heading to this weekend?s baseball, football and hockey games. The West Seattle Water Taxi will operate its normal?Saturday and Sunday schedules between 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on October 15 & 16;?

Metro?s on-demand ridership hits all-time high; Ride Pingo wins national award
King County Metro?s?Ride Pingo to Transit, an on-demand service in Kent, is receiving national acclaim as winner of the Innovation Solutions Award. Presented by trade industry publication?METRO Magazine, the honor recognizes the success of the app-based service in providing connections to job centers for residents, especially those working nightshifts and swing shifts.
The award comes at the same time that Metro is delivering more on-demand trips per month than ever, including before the pandemic.?Community Ride, Ride Pingo to Transit and?Via to Transit?provide vital links to bus, rail and other destinations. On-demand trips cost the same as a Metro bus fare, and you can transfer to and from other transit modes with an ORCA card.

Take Metro to Kraken games at Climate Pledge Arena
 The Seattle Kraken will have their season opener at the Climate Pledge Arena at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
The Kraken is again providing free transit tickets?via the Kraken + Climate Pledge Arena app?as part of both season ticket packages and single-game tickets.
The passes can be used throughout your entire journey?across buses, light rail, the Seattle Center Monorail, and other transit.?Bytemark, which makes apps for paying transit fares, integrated transit tickets into the Seattle Kraken mobile app.
To make your trip to Climate Pledge Arena run smoothly, here are some tips:
- Plan?your trip in advance.?Visit?Trip Planner?(https://tripplanner.kingcounty.gov/), check out the Trip Planner app, or use a third-party app like ?One Bus Away? or Google Maps (using transit mode).?Another way to find the best routes is by calling Metro Customer Service at 206-553-3000 weekdays, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Press 1 for an interpreter.
- If you?re traveling from downtown Seattle to Climate Pledge Arena, here are some great travel options:
- Catch the bus at Third Avenue and Pike Street near the Ross. Ride either?Route 3 or 4?to Fifth Avenue and Broad Street. After the game, you can head downtown for entertainment or other travel connections by boarding Route 3 or 4 at Fifth Ave and Broad St. (Outside of MoPOP) and riding on Third Avenue ?to downtown.
- Routes?1,2,?8?and the?RapidRide D Line?are also very close to the arena.
- The?Seattle Center Monorail is another way to move between downtown Seattle and Climate Pledge Arena. Link light rail riders can make an easy transfer to the Seattle Monorail at?Westlake Station.?Your ORCA card is also good on the Monorail!
Executive Constantine launches ?It?s a Great Day to Ride Metro? rewards program
As public transportation ridership hits its highest levels in nearly three years, King County Executive Dow Constantine announced?Transit GO Rewards?? a county-wide rewards program for residents and visitors. The program is part of Metro?s transit ridership campaign to let people know ?It?s a great day to ride Metro? and encourage them to take public transportation rather than driving alone.
Riders can participate by downloading the Transit GO Ticket app and, after signing up, will receive 800 reward points, which can be redeemed for a free King County Metro adult day pass. Taking future trips on transit allows riders to earn more rewards to get around ? via transit, e-bike, or e-scooter.

 Eclipse was a super sweet, world-famous, bus riding dog and true Seattle icon. You brought joy and happiness to everyone and showed us all that good dogs belong on the bus.
Eclipse was an ambassador for King County Metro; she even starred in a commercial for Metro's Puget Sound Trip Planner.?
