Dear John,

Please join the NhRP and over two dozen animal advocacy organizations and elephant sanctuaries on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020 for the International Candlelight Vigil for Elephants. This will be a virtual event where advocates from all over the world will take time to remember the lives of elephants who died in captivity in 2019. Two elephants receiving special recognition are our elephant clients Beulah and Karen, who died this year while being imprisoned and exploited by the Commerford Zoo. Learn more, including how you can easily participate, in this [[link removed]] blog post and on our Facebook event page [[link removed]] .

If you will be in the Northeast in January, we invite you to also join us for oral arguments on Jan. 6 in the Bronx [[link removed]] in our New York elephants rights case to free Happy and on Jan. 8 in Hartford [[link removed]] in our Connecticut elephant rights case to free Minnie.

Thank you, and happy holidays from everyone at the NhRP!

Courtney Fern
Director of Government Relations and Campaigns
