Placentia-Linda Hospital is a 114-bed acute-care facility that has provided quality care to our area for 50 years. I visited with the Placentia-Linda Hospital team to hear more about their work and recently introduced the National Nursing Workforce Center Act to grow and strengthen our nurse workforce. West Coast University's Innovation Lab and nursing simulation labs equip students with the skills needed to join our workforce and tackle the changing world of healthcare. Thank you for showing me around and for all you do to support our future health leaders! I joined the Taiwanese people in celebration of Taiwan National Day! I am fighting to ensure that the U.S. continues supporting one of our closest allies in the Pacific. Olinda Oil Museum's Field House turned 110! Fun to recognize this local landmark that serves to educate visitors and students on how the area now known as Brea began. Successful AAPI Advisory Committee meeting last week hearing from different stakeholders across Orange, Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties. Asian American issues are American issues, and I’ll keep fighting to support economic opportunity and public safety for all Americans. Addressing homelessness, building a robust professional development program, elevating the importance of employee wellness and working towards an Integrated Crime Center are at the top of mind for Brea PD. I was proud to secure funding for the OC Loop, North Orange County Public Safety Collaborative and Orange County Intelligence Fusion Center. I will always fight for the safety and wellbeing of our CA-39 communities! Thank you to Republic of Korea Los Angeles Consul General Young Wan Kim for inviting me to join in celebrating the National Foundation Day of Korea. As a Member of the Foreign Affairs Committee, I look forward to working to strengthen our US-Korea relations for years to come.
