OK John, my wife Mereda emailed you earlier about the grassroots fundraising competition she and I are in, and now she’s ahead of me by 37 contributions! I need your help to catch up.
 
 
This election cycle, Republicans are looking for ways to keep us down and take away our will to effect change. With MAGA Republicans actively dismantling our rights — with all the hateful and racist rhetoric out there — we are up to our eyeballs in unfriendliness. So I thought a little friendly competition might be just the way to lift spirits and focus our efforts on making a positive difference in our state, in our country, and in people’s lives.
 
 
Truth is, Mereda is much better at writing emails than I am. But I wanted to stir the pot and get a contest going to get us all activated and energized. Because, John — there are only 25 DAYS LEFT before Election Day, and we don’t have time for inaction.
 
But that doesn’t mean I intend to let her win.
 
We have so much work left to do in this last phase of the campaign, and I’m relying on grassroots contributions from folks like you to help fund our efforts to get out the vote. Republicans have an army of wealthy donors. We have you — our friends, neighbors, and supporters.
