John,

As we told you yesterday, Gov. Glenn Youngkin gave a long-form interview to CNN’s Jake Tapper this week, and boy, did he say some cringeworthy things!

In addition to defending his administration’s outright discrimination against trans youth, Youngkin doubled down on his support of Arizona election-denier and gubernatorial candidate, Kari Lake.

Youngkin himself is on the record saying Joe Biden is the legitimately elected President of the United States. Yet, he is dropping his moderate persona to promote dangerous extremists as he traverses the country building his brand.

Our governor is a chameleon, but he can’t have it both ways on the subject of our democracy. We need to rein in his power by extending our Democratic senate majority in Richmond. Yesterday, we set a goal to raise $1,000 this week to send Hala to the senate, and fortify our caucus against him. Will you contribute $5 to help us reach our goal and fight back against his dangerous schemes?

We all know Youngkin is preparing for a much bigger job interview in 2024, but he played bashful when Tapper asked him directly if he would run for president. Youngkin thinks he’s playing his cards close to his chest, but his priorities are clear, and clearly not in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

John, our governor may have outgrown his britches, but we still have a state to run. While Youngkin sets his sights on Washington, his agenda in Richmond is turning sour. We need to step up and elect real Democratic leaders, like Hala, to be a check on his power. Will you join our grassroots army with a $5 donation right now, and help us set him straight?
